Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient-centered care across examinations, testing, and procedures. You will interview patients, measure vitals, and document information accurately using CIS/Centricity.

Under provider direction, you will assist with orders, scheduling, and room preparation, ensuring efficient patient flow and adherence to protocols. Opportunities to float to other practices may exist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program OR demonstrated competencies of MA II with minimum 3 years’ current relevant medical assistant experience.
• Preferred: registered/certified by ARMA, AMT, CCMA, AAMA, NCMA or equivalent.
• Experience with Clinical Information Systems and patient data entry is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and patients for examinations, tests, or procedures.
• Take patient history, vital signs, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist providers with procedures and implement orders and protocols as directed.
• Perform tasks such as EKGs, immunizations admin with policy adherence.
• Document procedures accurately and ensure smooth patient flow and referrals.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and follow ups.
• Float to other practices as needed to meet organizational needs.
