Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health in Berea, Ohio, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves clinical tasks and administrative duties to maintain smooth patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of clinic experience, basic EMR skills, and CPR certification, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a physician practice or clinic preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including EMR.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
• CPR certification required or must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and record vital signs.
• Perform basic testing and screenings (vision, audiometry, urine screens, breath alcohol, EKGs).
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples and document results.
• Complete lab paperwork and computer entries for tests.
• Administer injections and document procedures per policy.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, glucose, influenza, pregnancy tests).
• Assist providers during exams and testing and coordinate care records.
