HealthNet is seeking a Medical Assistant in Indianapolis, IN to support clinicians with patient intake, room preparation, and procedure assistance. The role requiresClinical skills, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.

You will collect patient information, prepare rooms, perform lab work, and assist with injections and immunizations. Applicants should have a Medical Assistant program, HS diploma or GED, and BLS certification within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Equivalency acceptable for foreign degrees.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within one month of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient information and prepare exam rooms and equipment.
• Call patients for next day appointments.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Perform general lab work and immunizations.
• Administer injections and phlebotomy.
• Provide patient education and clerical support.
