Job summary

HealthNet is seeking a Medical Assistant at our Southwest Health Center in Indianapolis to support physicians and clinic teams with compassionate patient care. You will collect patient information, prepare exam rooms, assist with examinations, perform basic lab work, and provide injections and patient education.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, BLS within one month of hire, and flexibility to work at multiple health center

Qualifications

Requires HS diploma or GED and completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
BLS certification within one month of hire.
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

Collect patient information.
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, medical records and patients for clinic visits and assist providers.
Assist with examination procedures.
Perform general lab work.
Administer injections and immunizations, and phlebotomy.
Provide patient education and clerical support.
