Job summary

HealthNet in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinic management at Southwest Health Center, 1522 West Morris Street. The role starts at $19/hour and involves direct patient care and front-end support.

You will call patients for next-day appointments, prep exam rooms and records, assist with procedures, administer injections and immunizations, perform phlebotomy, and provide patient education and clerical support.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completed accredited medical assistant program.
• BLS certification within one month of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Call patients for next day appointments.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, medical records and patients for visits.
• Assist providers during exams and treatments.
• Administer injections and immunizations, and perform phlebotomy.
• Provide patient education and clerical support.
