Job summary

Penn Medicine Valley Forge is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a multi-specialty practice. You will assist in patient preparation, interview patients, and document in EMR to ensure accurate records and smooth clinic flow.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or 2+ years MA experience).
• MA Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Strong patient care and communication skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Room patients promptly and prepare for examination using EMR.
• Review patient history, take vital signs, document in EMR, and coordinate with provider.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen handling, and basic lab tests.
• Administer EKGs and other outpatient screening tests as ordered.
• Assist with minor procedures and maintain sterile field; support care team as needed.
• Coordinate care with specialists, labs, and home care services; handle patient communications.
