Job summary

Texoma Care, affiliated with Universal Health Services, seeks a Medical Assistant to support family care across life stages. You will work with physicians, nurses and staff to provide compassionate care and accurate record-keeping in a busy clinic.

The role includes vital signs, venipuncture and room preparation, with front-desk coverage as needed. IPM supports growth within UHS and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant certificate or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Office equipment such as fax, copier and telephone system.
• EKG machine and other patient care testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture as directed by the physician.
• Document in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Cover front desk as needed.
