Job summary

Capital Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support exam room prep, patient intake, and clerical duties in a busy primary care setting in New Jersey. You will assist providers with examinations, record vital signs, document medical histories, and help with medication reconciliation and EMR entries.

The position requires a high school diploma or accredited medical assisting program, at least two years of related experience, and BLS. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Two years of work experience as a medical assistant or related role.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medical terminology and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist clinicians during patient encounters.
• Record patient history, medications, vitals and reason for visit.
• Assist with medication reconciliation and documentation in records.
• Handle registration, scheduling, billing and charting as needed.
• Maintain infection control, clean rooms and stock supplies.
