Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide a positive guest experience.

The role combines medical assisting with front desk responsibilities to support the full patient experience. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a Medical Assistant role, completion of a MA program, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to rooms; ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Gathers updated health information to inform the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections; assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient plans and address care gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals and check-in/out.
• Record data in medical records and process test results.
• Participates in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
