St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for Practice Operations to support patient care before, during, and after visits.

The role involves collecting and reviewing records, updating vital information, and assisting with examinations while maintaining a clean, organized clinical area. Candidates should have one year of clinical experience or completed a Medical Assistant program; BLS/CPR certification is required or obtained within 60 days.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program required.
• Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR training or within 60 days of hire; through ARC or AHA.
• High School degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient records with latest results and notes.
• Pre-charting value-based pieces up to five days before appointment.
• Prepare patients for examination and escort to exam rooms.
• Maintain clinical supplies, clean exam rooms, and assist with injections/immunizations per state guidelines.
• Coordinate with providers and care team on discharge, labs, and tests; participate in quality initiatives.
