Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support practice operations. The role involves preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, updating records, and assisting the care team across the patient journey.

Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, patient education, and coordinating with providers on test results and follow-up care. Prior clinical experience and a Medical Assistant program are preferred; BLS/CPR is required or up-to-date.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program required.
• Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Customer service experience strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR current or within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records and updating with recent results.
• Prepare patients for examination: height, weight, vitals, meds, allergies, history, smoking status.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with procedures as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies; assist with cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Coordinate with providers and care team regarding discharge, follow-ups, and education.
