Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant in the Practice Operations area.

The role supports clinical teams by preparing patients for examinations, updating records, and coordinating with providers and the care team. The position requires a high school diploma and either one year of clinical experience or completion of a Medical Assistant program, with CPR/BLS certification either already held or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• BLS/CPR: Current or within 60 days of hire; through ARC or AHA.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records and test results.
• Prepare patients for examination including vitals, meds, allergies, and history.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist providers during visits.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and stock supplies; dispose of waste per protocol.
• Coordinate with care team regarding discharge, lab tests, and follow-ups.
• Support administrative functions such as check-in/check-out and onboarding.
