Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality, direct patient care in a team-based Primary Care setting at Mt. Auburn.

The MA supports administrative and clinical operations, assists during visits, records vitals, prepares room, and ensures accurate documentation in the EHR. This full-time, day-shift role requires 0-1 year of MA experience, HS degree or GED, and relevant certification preference.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BS in Health Science preferred.
• 0-1 years related experience; MA competencies within one year of hire.
• Basic computer literacy; ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality direct patient care in a team-based model.
• Assist during visits: vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, and rooming.
• Document tasks in the EHR for accurate billing and care continuity.
• Coordinate with care team to meet population health goals and outreach.
• Schedule tests, verify insurance, and manage prior authorizations as needed.
• Ensure PHI protection and OSHA safety compliance.
