WellMed, part of the Optum family, seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care at the appropriate skill level under supervision of a provider. The MA will organize the clinical environment, assist physicians and nursing staff, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure infection control and accurate documentation.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, medical assistant certification, BLS, and ability to travel within the market.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Basic computer literacy with Excel skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to travel frequently within assigned market.
• Valid driver's license for travel.
• Tuberculosis screening and vaccination/immunity requirements.

Mansioni

• Organizes the clinical environment and supports patient care under supervision.
• Assists physicians and nursing staff and ensures infection control.
• Delivers quality customer service and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs duties such as venipuncture, EKGs, dressing changes, specimen collection as delegated.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in medical records.
• Coordinates patient care per provider and policy guidance.
• Completes mandatory training and follows Standard Delegation of Orders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
