Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams in patient exams and treatments. You will gather patient information, take vital signs, and help prepare rooms for procedures in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Active Basic Life Support and MA program completion are preferred; healthcare experience may compensate. On-site work with opportunities to contribute across clinical and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Applicants with healthcare experience (EMT, LNA, etc.) may apply if trained.
• Formal MA program completion required for some candidates.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs.
• Updates patient's medications and allergy lists.
• Records information in the EMR.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination, including stocking and cleaning.
• Assists provider by preparing patients for examinations and assisting with procedures.
• Greets patients and escorts them to exam room.
• Schedules patient appointments and orders referrals per guidelines.
• Inventories and orders medical supplies for assigned area.
• Uses Cerner and GroupWise following documentation protocols.
