Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but will accept applicants with healthcare experience.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA BLS) or CPR/ AED for professionals.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred for non-MA candidates.

Responsabilités

• Answer phones following practice guidelines and identify patient health concerns.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs; update medications and allergy lists in the EMR.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and stock supplies.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Demonstrate clinical skills in practice.
• Schedule appointments and handle referrals per guidelines.
• Inventory and order medical supplies; remove outdated materials.
• Use Cerner, GroupWise and other systems per protocol for documentation and orders.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
