Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in patient exams, assist with procedures, take vital signs, and manage clerical tasks. Under supervision, you will help prepare rooms, document in the EMR, and greet patients.

Successful candidates may have completed a Medical Assistant program or a Licensed Nursing Assistant program; certification in CPR/BLS preferred. This role requires teamwork and attention to detail in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited Medical Assistant program; experience not required.
• Licensed Nursing Assistant must have minimum of 1 year healthcare experience.
• Military medic training considered equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls by following clinic guidelines and identifies patient concerns.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, updates medications and allergy lists, documents in EMR.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations, stocks and cleans.
• Assists providers by preparing patients for exams and with procedures.
• Demonstrates clinical skills in the practice.
• Schedules appointments and handles referrals per guidelines.
• Manages inventory and orders medical supplies, labels materials.
• Uses Centricity, GroupWise, and Portal to document and process orders.
