Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and care teams in patient examinations and treatments. You will greet patients, prepare rooms, update medication and allergy lists, and assist with procedures while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification within three years is encouraged. No experience required, though 1 year in healthcare is preferred for non-MA candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but will consider healthcare experience.
• Certification/registration within three years encouraged.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred if non-MA path.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones per practice guidelines and triaging health concerns.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Update patient medications and allergy lists.
• Record information in the EMR.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist with procedures.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals as needed.
• Inventory and order medical supplies; ensure labeling.
• Use Cerner and GroupWise per established documentation protocols.
