Job summary

Panoramic Health in the United States is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff by handling administrative tasks and patient care activities, including maintaining records, coordinating appointments, and assisting during examinations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and preferably completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with at least two years of relevant experience. Combined education and experience may qualify.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Combined education and experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide general back-office support to physicians.
• Assist providers with examinations as needed.
• Stock and monitor inventory levels of medical supplies.
• Monitor and maintain medication sample closets.
• Prepare and assist patients for testing.
• Obtain results for examinations as requested.
• Obtain laboratory results, present them to the physician for review, and notify patients of results as instructed by the physician.
• Answer patient calls and respond in a prompt and professional manner.
• Conduct final review of charts after chart preparation.
• Train back-office staff on an as-needed basis when requested by the Office Administrator.
• Respond to and comply with requests for information using the most appropriate communication method, including fax.
• Complete all requests within established office policy timeframes.
• Follow all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and protection of patient information.
• Deliver information to patient care areas and other designated locations, including provider offices.
• Complete the referral process for specific procedures when requested by the Office Administrator.
• Provide leadership and guidance to support excellent customer service.
• Communicate and engage effectively with others.
• Continuously seek opportunities to learn, share knowledge, and develop processes that improve the transfer of information.
• Follow and maintain all policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Education
