Job summary

ADP is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in the Health & Wellness Center with clinical and administrative tasks. You will assist with exams, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient intake, scheduling, and documentation to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role emphasizes proactive healthcare delivery in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with responsibilities across clinical and front-office operations and coverage at nearby NJ Health & Wellness Center locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or LPN required.
• 3+ years of Medical Assistant or LPN experience in outpatient setting.
• Proficient in phlebotomy, venipuncture, and EKGs.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal daily oversight.
• CPR/AED certification required or must obtain within six weeks of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff with routine examinations and treatment.
• Obtain and record patient information and enter data into the medical record.
• Perform venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Conduct testing such as EKGs, urine dipstick, vision screening, and other tests.
• Take vital signs and assist during examinations, including telemedicine.
• Administer flu vaccines and other injections as ordered.
• Coordinate front-office duties including scheduling and patient portal promotion.
• Maintain patient medical records and confidentiality.
• Support other Health & Wellness Center locations as needed.
