Job summary

Bronson Orthopedic Specialists in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Medical Assistant on a full-time basis (80 hrs per pay period). You will provide clerical support in the Cancer Center, triage calls, and assist with patient exams and procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CMA/CCMA/RMA certification (or eligible to obtain within 6 months), and BLS within 90 days. EMR experience is highly desirable, with strong communication and confidentiality skills vital to patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA certification preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to the Cancer Center under provider/nursing direction.
• Triages patient phone calls and schedules tests and appointments.
• Prepares patients for exams and documents information in the chart (EMR).
• Assists with procedures and maintains stock in exam rooms.
