Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of MA experience or completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program from an accredited school.
  • Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire.
  • BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required.
  • ROT Registered Orthopedic Technologist required within 12 months of hire.
  • Completes all competency training requirements within specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for rooming and exams.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
  • Perform suture/staple removal and dressing changes.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
  • Provide basic patient education.
  • Set up aseptic and sterile procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
