Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting in Espanola, NM. You will prepare patients for visits, assist providers with treatments, and support clerical tasks within the EMR system.

The role requires MA education, six months of experience or completion of an accredited program, BLS certification, and completion of Presbyterian Advanced Skills Training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of MA experience or completion of MA/NA program.
• Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for rooming and exam.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
• Suture removal and dressing changes.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Provide basic education to patients.
• Set up aseptic and sterile procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and EMR tasks as needed.
