• Six months of MA experience or completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
• Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire.
• BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required.
• Maintains current certifications in required emergency response training (i.e. BLS).
• ROT Registered Orthopedic Technologist required within 12 months of hire.
• Orthopedic and Podiatry departments training as specified.

Responsibilities

• Perform MA procedures after competency within MA scope, under supervision.
• Prepare patient for rooming and exam.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
• Suture/Staple removal and dressing changes.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Provide basic education to patients.
• Set up aseptic and sterile procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
• Prepares patient for rooming and exam
