Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant for our outpatient clinic in Ruidoso, NM. You will prepare patients for visits, assist the provider, perform MA duties, and support lab and clerical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months MA experience or completion of an MA/Nursing Assistant program, BLS, and successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of MA experience or completion of an MA/Nursing Assistant program from an accredited school.
  • Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire.
  • BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required.
  • ROT Registered Orthopedic Technologist required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient for rooming and exam.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
  • Suture/Staple removal and dressing changes.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
  • Provide basic education to patients.
  • Set up aseptic and sterile procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
