Premier Health Rheumatology - Beavercreek (MA or LPN)

FT / 80 hours per pay period

Summary of Position

A Medical Assistant at Premier Health Physician Companies typically sees upwards of 30 patients per day. The role involves general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Medical Assistants are a vital part of our offices and are relied upon to help deliver the best Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Nature and Scope

Independently performed procedures may include, but are not limited to, rooming patients, collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate
2. Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or certification as a Medical Assistant
3. Prior experience in an ambulatory healthcare facility is preferred
4. Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians
5. Self-motivated to achieve high standards in patient care and customer service
6. CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment
7. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
8. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR system is strongly preferred
9. Thorough understanding of HIPAA laws
