FT / 80 hours per pay period

Summary of Position

A Medical Assistant at Premier Health Physician Companies will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Medical Assistants are an integral part of our offices, relied upon to assist in delivering the best Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Nature and Scope

Procedures may include, but are not limited to, rooming patients, collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or Certified Medical Assistant
• Prior experience in ambulatory healthcare preferred
• Ability to learn related tasks and assist management and physicians
• Self-motivated to achieve high standards in patient care and customer service
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
• Understanding of HIPAA law
