Job summary

Together Women's Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our Chicago practice. The MA will welcome patients, document health histories in the EMR, prepare exam rooms, and assist with injections and phlebotomy while collaborating with physicians.

The role requires EMR experience and medical terminology knowledge, with OB/GYN exposure preferred. Must be able to work at both South Michigan Ave and South State Street sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting is required.
• Graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• CCMA certification preferred; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Previous experience in an OB/GYN office is preferred.
• Must be willing to work at both South Michigan Ave and South State Street locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patients' health history and enter into EMR.
• Set up and prepare exam rooms for visits.
• Perform preliminary vitals and basic clinical tasks.
• Assist with diagnostics and equipment setup as needed.
• Administer injections and phlebotomy as needed.
• Document medical records, tests, medications, and education.
• May perform scribe duties and assist the physician.
