Sentara MJH MJ Medical and Surgical Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant (non-certified) in Charlottesville, VA.

The role supports patient care and administrative tasks under licensed clinicians’ supervision, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional float.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary

• Occasional float as needed

Overview

The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certification/Licensure

Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs:

• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or
• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or
• EMT- Emergency Medical Technician

BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.31 - $29.92 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
