Qualified candidates have at least one year of clinical or administrative experience; phlebotomy is preferred. A High School diploma is required, with certification within nine months (CCMA, CMA, RMA, EMT) and BLS within 90 days.

Overview

The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certification/Licensure

Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs:

• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or
• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or
• EMT- Emergency Medical Technician

BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
