Sentara Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant-non-certified to join the Sentara MJH MJ Medical and Surgical Associates team. This full-time role supports both patient care and clerical duties, typically Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with occasional float as needed.

The position requires 1 year of clinical/administrative experience, High School Diploma, and certification within nine months (CCMA/CMA/RMA/EMT) plus BLS within 90 days of hire. Competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification must be received within nine months of employment in CCMA, CMA, RMA or EMT.
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative tasks under supervision of the Physician, NP/PA, RN or LPN.
• Handle clerical duties and maintain accurate charting and records.
