IMS Care Center in Avondale, AZ, seeks a professional Medical Assistant for our Neurology Clinic. You will support patients and families before, during and after visits, working with physicians, nurses and other clinical staff to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience, a completed MA program, and a valid MA certification or diploma. Strong communication and computer skills (Word, Excel) are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school.
• Medical Assistant certificate or diploma required.
• 1–3 years' Medical Assistant experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and review patient history.
• Prepare and clean room; get patient ready for physician encounter.
• Performs office-based testing and treatments under supervision of clinician.
• Coordinates and manages patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling.
• Resolve patient concerns promptly.

IMS Care Center is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Medical Assistant for our Neurology Clinic in Avondale. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support by assisting patients and their family members before, during and after their visit. Medical Assistants work alongside doctors, nurses and other clinical personnel, performing functions that help the clinic run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Take vitals/review patient history
• Prepare and clean room for patient and get patient prepared for the physician encounter.
• Performs a variety of office-based testing and treatments related to patient care under the supervision of clinician care.
• Coordinates and manages patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital and other ancillary medical treatments and tests.
• Resolve patient concerns promptly.

Requirements:

• At least 1 – 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
• Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
• Good computer skills and being familiar with Microsoft (Word and Excel)

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, or passage of the Medical Assistant examination required
