Job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional medical assistant/ medical receptionist to join our OB-GYN team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rooming patients and prepping charts for the providers and performing basic vital signs. This candidate will also be responsible for cleaning/sterilizing instruments. This candidate will also assist with various administrative tasks, including documentation review, scheduling appointments, and faxing among other duties.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients.
  • Performing basic vital signs.
  • Assisting providers with minor procedures.
  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule appointments
  • Perform documentation review to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Handle front desk operations, including managing office supplies and equipment.
  • Support medical office management tasks as needed, ensuring efficient workflow within the office.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic vital signs
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Able to travel between 2 office locations (located within 15 mins of each other)
  • Bilingual preferred but not necessary
