Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Highland Park, IL to support frontline clinical operations. You will greet patients, document vitals and medical histories, and assist with front desk duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least 1 year in a medical office. Some duties may include phlebotomy and injections as part of the scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required; MA cert preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field is required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Hourly Pay Range
$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: Highland Park, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 5pm with rotating weekends
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department needs

What You Will Do

• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
