Job summary

Lovelace Health System is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Float Pool Medical Assistant in Albuquerque, NM. You will support clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinic setting as part of a physician-led care team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred candidates have an Associate’s degree and CMA/RMA certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant Non-Certified provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
