The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Medical Assistant (MA) to join a clinic-based care team.

As a non-certified MA, you will support physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation. Required are a high school diploma or GED, EMR and MS Office familiarity, and BLS to be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.
• Preferred: CMA or RMA certification.
• Preferred: Prior clinic or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant Non-Certified provides patient care and administrative tasks in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by a physician or advanced practitioner.
• Supports patient throughput, documentation, and basic clinical tasks under supervision.
