Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a Medical Assistant at Hematology Oncology Center to support physicians with in-office procedures, phlebotomy, and lab testing. You will handle quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and documentation in the Onco/EMR system.

Responsibilities include vitals collection, patient prep, specimen handling, and coordinating outside testing as ordered. Prior clinic experience and BLS are preferred; travel to multiple clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
• Maintain quality control and instrument troubleshooting.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides; send outside labs as needed.
• Document in EMR and maintain logs.
• Obtain vital signs and PHQ9 screening; document in EMR.
