Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification required or equivalent.
• One year of medical assistant experience in a clinic or physician's office with venipuncture ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Perform phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Collect patient vitals and document in EMR.
• Prepare specimens and slides for evaluation; send outside labs when needed.
• Maintain logs and reports for QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate professional communication with patients and staff.
