Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture ability.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing; ensure QC/QA procedures are followed.
• Prepare slides and manage specimen handling according to lab protocols.
• Document results in EMR and maintain test logs and equipment records.
• Coordinate outside testing and referrals as needed; maintain inventory and place orders.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and follow safety guidelines at all times.
