Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant III to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and credentialed MA options (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC). At least 3+ years of credentialed MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; CPR certification required.
• MA program/externship or MA internship completed.
• Credentialed MA options (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with more complex patient care issues.
• Serves as MA preceptor for new/existing MAs.
• Updates procedure manual and manages workflows.
• Functions as system superuser.
• Collects and documents patient histories, vitals, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient/family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
