Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant III to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

This full-time position requires a High School Diploma or GED and CPR certification, plus credentialed MA status with 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required and CPR certification is required.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant with CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC is preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience as a credentialed MA with required MA II skills/education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex patient care issues.
• Serve as MA preceptor for new and existing MAs.
• Update procedure manuals and manage workflows.
• Function as system superuser.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
