Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support the clinic, PSC, or Patient Registry team with compassionate patient interactions and direct patient care.

The MA will perform routine procedures and clerical tasks in the clinical setting, building trust and managing patient expectations. The role requires documenting all specialties in the EHR, assisting with back‑office processes, and mentoring MA staff to help meet department goals while delivering exceptional patient

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certificate and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of back‑office MA experience in outpatient/clinic settings.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on location; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care through routine procedures and clerical support in the clinical setting.
• Document all specialties in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assist with administrative responsibilities and back‑office processes as directed by Nursing Supervisor/Manager.
• Mentor and train Medical Assistant team to help achieve department goals and ensure quality patient experiences.
