Job summary

Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking compassionate Medical Assistants to support providers during clinic visits, room patients, and manage front-office tasks. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a willingness to learn in a busy outpatient setting.

Under supervision, you will perform direct patient care, process registrations, handle messages, prepare exam rooms, and assist with administrative duties while adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or completion of a High School sponsored CTE program.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• New hires require graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification is required.
• AHA BLS for healthcare workers certification is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers during clinic visits.
• Manage patient messages, paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Assist with clinical and administrative duties.
• Room patients and complete intake.
• Assist providers with patient care.
• Manage patient messages and scheduling.
• Scan and maintain medical records.
• Prepare exam rooms and support clinic workflow.
