Job summary

IU Health is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join a dynamic clinic team in Indiana. The role blends direct patient care with essential front office duties, following a regular schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Tue 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM on certain weeks, with occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or eligibility.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Under supervision, performs direct patient care and front office duties.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories.
• Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Manage patient communications and follow-up activities.
• Support scheduling, chart preparation, and other administrative duties.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
