Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification required
• Familiarity with OSHA/CLIA/ADA standards
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• TB testing/validation preferred within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of Meaningful Use and Standard Work Programs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical direction under supervision
• Ensure completeness of procedures and treatments and smooth patient flow
• Perform general lab work and advise/educate patients about procedures
• Handle registration and scheduling per procedures
• Maintain EMR files and front-office duties as needed
• Possibly perform computerized physician order entry as directed by physician
• Precept MA team members or externs as requested by leadership
