Indiana University Health in Carmel, IN is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. Under supervision, you will perform direct patient care tasks, check in patients, collect vitals, and prepare procedures to ensure smooth workflow and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant program, BLS, and certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC) with knowledge of EMR systems and insurance basics.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/CMAC certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and insurance processes.
• Ability to perform basic clinical tasks under supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Check in patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
• Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Prepare and administer injections under provider direction following established protocols.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Support efficient clinic workflow while delivering high-quality patient care.
