Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced Primary Care clinic in Carmel, IN. You will room patients, manage messages and paperwork, and assist with clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include EMR maintenance, scheduling, and potential precepting of MA colleagues. Requires MA certification and CPR/BLS; experience welcomed but not required for new graduates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
• Current certification in medical assisting from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC.
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers during clinic visits.
• Manage patient messages, paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Assist with both clinical and administrative duties.
• Maintain EMR files and perform general front office functions as needed.
• May precept MA team members or MA externs as requested by leadership.
