Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

• Completion of MA Core Skills and specialty competencies as defined by Scope of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual domains.
• Perform clinical tasks and ensure accurate charting as directed by providers.
• Contribute to patient care plans and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families, assess health literacy, and evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• Encourage patient engagement using motivational interviewing and self-management support.
• Precept and mentor new staff or MA students as needed.
