Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to be the first contact for patient care, performing administrative duties alongside clinical tasks on site. You will support physicians, handle vital signs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as needed, and help maintain exam rooms and records.

The role requires MA training or certification, a high school diploma, CPR certification, and the ability to work with a diverse patient population while supporting a team-based care

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an MA school/training program or valid MA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical responsibilities including taking vital signs, discussing symptoms, and administering medications and vaccines.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, prep exam rooms, and document in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within certification scope and policies.
• Interpret area/department policies to complete assignments with some latitude.
• Work within defined parameters to meet quality standards and prioritization.
• Follow standard procedures allowing interpretation and deviation when appropriate.
