Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows all policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, allergy review.
• Assists providers with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per orders, CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Manages patient communications, scheduling, referrals, and paperwork as needed.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and proper equipment function.

Education

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Structured military training (clinical) per DD214 in lieu of formal MA program/ EMT
